Problem Statement

Design an e-commerce product and add some features like gamification, referral programs, reward points etc.

Brainstorming

I made the decision to design a mobile application focused on e-commerce, with a primary focus on the purchase and sale of sneakers and shoes. This application will enable users to browse, select, and purchase various types of footwear from the comfort of their mobile devices.

To make my app stand out from other e-commerce platforms, I aimed to incorporate unique and attractive features that will capture the attention of users. I recognized that providing leaderboards and rewards such as stars or badges can be effective in keeping users engaged. However, I wanted to design something innovative and distinctive, so I brainstormed several alternative concepts.

Style Quiz

My e-commerce app aims to simplify the shopping experience for users by allowing them to receive personalised product recommendations with just a few simple questions. Users will receive tailored suggestions based on their responses by answering a short quiz comprising ten questions, such as preferences for music, movies, and cooler palettes.

To further incentives users, we offer discounts of up to 30% on any purchases made from the suggested items. This encourages users to take more quizzes, increasing engagement and potentially leading to more sales for the company.

Moreover, this system also allows us to collect valuable user data that can help us better understand our target audience’s preferences and tailor our offerings accordingly. By providing personalised recommendations and discounts, our app not only improves the shopping experience for users but also benefits the company by enhancing our data collection capabilities.

Spin The Wheel Game

One exciting feature of my e-commerce app could be the “Spin to Win” wheel, where users have the chance to win exclusive offers and prizes. This feature has become increasingly popular because it appeals to users of all ages who enjoy the thrill of spinning the wheel.

When users make a purchase on our app, they can spin the wheel and potentially receive various discounts or rewards with just a simple tap. If they are satisfied with the prize they receive, they may choose to spin again, leading to higher user engagement and repeat purchases.

In addition to discounts, the Spin to Win wheel also offers other benefits such as access to premium features, membership opportunities, and extra prizes on top of their purchases.

Overall, this feature enhances the user experience and provides the potential for increased sales and customer loyalty.

Target Audience

After careful consideration and brainstorming, I decided to focus on the gamification of the style quiz feature for my e-commerce app. Through research, I determined that my target audience should primarily be individuals who have a strong interest in shoes and sneakers.
