3rd Edition | 95 Next-Gen Stars of the #DataFam Data Visualization Community

Spanning six continents, this year’s selection process saw 144 nominations for talented #datafam from 21 countries, ultimately recognizing 95 individuals. This adjustment came after excluding ten nominees officially recognized by Tableau or its employees.

#TableauNext champions the emergence of both new and veteran community members who have significantly elevated their contributions. These individuals demonstrate strong potential for future recognition by Tableau as an Ambassador, Visionary, or even a prospective employee. They actively share visualizations on Tableau Public and engage in community activities, blogging, and more. While hundreds could have been considered, and thousands have publicly showcased their Tableau skills, the selection for this list is based on the profound impact made by the 2024 cohort, following the trailblazing footsteps of their predecessors.

I initiated this annual celebration in 2022 to spotlight our newer members who, although yet to be officially acknowledged by Tableau, are pivotal to the future landscape of our community and the broader field of data visualization. They embody global expansion, diversity, creativity, and leadership qualities essential for this domain's evolution.

Many individuals featured since #TableauNext 2022 have continued to ‘pay it forward,’ stepping into roles as Tableau Ambassadors and Tableau Visionaries, joining Tableau’s workforce, initiating significant community projects, + securing the IronViz finalist and Champion title. Providing a platform for these gifted contributors to shine is a privilege — and while the prior cohorts set a high bar, I am confident that this extensive group will rise to meet, if not exceed, those from earlier cohorts.

The words covered for those below were lightly paraphrased versions of comments shared by their nominators. The names of the dozens of nominators who did not request anonymity are shared at the end of #TableauNext2024.
