In the 21st century, compute power has emerged as the new currency of the digital era—a critical resource that is accumulated, traded, and strategically hoarded by nations, corporations, and societies. Much like money in traditional economies, compute power serves as a fundamental driver of value creation, economic influence, and competitive advantage. Its ability to process data, power algorithms, and enable technological innovation makes it the backbone of modern industries, from finance and healthcare to agriculture and entertainment.

At the forefront of this transformation is NVIDIA, whose advances in GPU and AI hardware have positioned it as a key player in the compute economy. Companies and governments alike are investing heavily in compute infrastructure, viewing it as a means to generate wealth, assert dominance, and future-proof their strategies in an increasingly digital world. But as compute power becomes more central to our global economy, it also raises critical questions about access, control, and the widening disparities between those who can afford to "spend" compute and those who cannot.
