UI, UX & visual designers behind great games

4 min readSep 20, 2021

I've been always wondering why it's so hard to find some of the brilliant minds from designers behind those incredible games I played throughout my life. So this drove me to this personal challenge to summarize some of my favorite games and list the Designers that worked on the Visual of it — considering UI, Motion, some illustrations, UX, and more.

To facilitate the process, I counted with the support of these amazing repositories called Interface in Games and Game UI Database. They are doing outstanding work putting all this content together.

So, before we go, I’m trying to update this list every time I find a new name or I play a new game that inspires me. Basically, I get the game and look for some portfolio websites, or on the ending credits, and grab all the names related to the disciplines mentioned above.

And to make things a bit more organized, I’ll separate the titles between platforms to keep them easier to track and to update whenever I can with new games and designers.
