If I could go back in time, I’d tell myself to rethink my approach to product design. The complexity that seemed overwhelming six years ago now feels like a puzzle I’ve learned to solve piece by piece.

It’s hard to realize that I’ve been designing products for six years. Every project sounded like a marathon back then, with no end in mind.

I remember thinking that the main goal of product design was aesthetics — after all, who doesn’t like a well-designed user interface? However, the fact that design is so much more than looks hit me hard.

It’s a puzzle with many elements, such as usability, technology, and user needs. To be honest, I learned the hard way and failed through most of it.

However, all challenges turned into a learning opportunity, and I now remember those “chaotic” moments with appreciation.

As a way to help you in managing the complexity that comes with product design, let me share some lessons that I wish I knew at that moment in time.
