Even with YouTube videos — you can learn a lot of things nowadays through YouTube.

But recently a new way have raised inside the design community.

A year ago I watched the design community, not too deeply but you will know that almost all the content was design works, so you will go in just to see others visual works, let’s call it to get inspiration.

Nowadays that I have returned to the design community but this time to engage and contribute more than the last time, you will be surprised by the amount of content that is there.

And I talk about valuable content and all of them for free. I’m talking about the Instagram design community — a lot of Instagrammers have decided to go with this type of content for their content strategy and they have received so much engage so more people have decided to follow this strategy.

The bad thing is that there is a bunch of slides now in your feed 😅 but hey! It is valuable content and the best in a short form.

Quality content in a short time, what else could be better than that?

Some valuable content that I suggest you follow in Instagram are these:

  1. @design_pilot

2. @konstantinzhuck

3. @uxgene

4. @zanderwhitehurst

5. @uxbites

6. @lubosvolkov

7. @uxgoodies

8. @fazurrehman

9. @ux.gems

The right way to learn is by applying every new thing that you learned at the same time that you watched. No just saved for watching later, if you truly want to improve your skills then apply every tip right away.

If you want to be better I suggest you to stay always learning, you can watch videos, listen to podcasts, reading articles, there are a lot of resources out there that can bring you a lot of value.

One of my favorite podcasts is the Product Breakfast Club by Jonathan Courtney and Jake Knapp, also check Design Better Podcast and The Honest Designers Show.

And for YouTube I suggest you check these:

  1. AJ&Smart
  2. The Futur
  3. Flux

If you have time to read, check this blog Inside Design by InVision. One of the best in the industry 👌🏻

These are the resources that I consume on a daily basis to improve my skills, combine this with an online course more structured and you will be in the right direction to being a great designer.

But in general, I think this way of learning a little bit of information but constantly every day by all these sources, could seriously improve your skills in the long run.
