No. 11 / Design Eggs & Jam
The Answers are Simple:
“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.” — Dr. Seuss
We, as designers, are often tasked with the impossible. What seems implicit to the viewer of our efforts was a mystery to us when we began the design.
It may be human nature to want to make life seem more complicated than it really is. Our brains are able to think thoughts at a pace that far surpasses any animal life. We have to breathe, though. No matter how complicated we make the project, the answer will be simple. Whatever was true yesterday will likely be true tomorrow. We will wake up. We will see the sunrise. We will make our way through a day of miracles we are mostly oblivious to. It will be true for both our career and our personal lives.
The beauty resides in our ability to be simple and listen to the answers.
