No matter how complicated things are take a moment to make sure you are not underestimating the value of a person (or even a thing). As you balance your life with your creative goals and your everyday life, don’t expect someone or something to be always available to serve in some way without a thanks or recognition. Thank your partners, employees and clients.
Have empathy, but true empathy. If one of your partners, employees or clients is going through a life-changing event, be there. Don’t do it halfway. The more you give, the more you will receive. It’s good to remember that everyone deserves the same respect.
In my experience, I have seen this way too often. It is vital that we take ourselves outside of the equation and look around us. It’s with this knowledge that I find it very successful to cultivate an environment where you give the attention to partners, employees and clients around you. As you move throughout life, have empathy. The return is a life-time of support and rewards.
