We visited Regent Square on a sunny Sunday evening and found the neighborhood rather fascinating, from the beautiful pebble streets to the intermingling of businesses and residents. Below are a few photographs of different moments we experienced.

Some observations:

  • There were not a lot of foot-falls when we arrived (around 5 PM), despite the fact that it was a Sunday and most of the restaurants were open.
  • Most of the commercial establishments (Salons, Dentists, etc) were closed
  • There was a mix of young people and old, which reflected the demographics of the neighborhood
  • There were a LOT of dogs around, seems like a common thing for Regent Square residents
  • There was quite a lot of vehicular traffic, which made walking rather unpleasant.

The street signs were rather beautiful, albeit a bit beat up
The brick streets and landscaping were also showing some wear and tear

This was a weird occurrence — the only fenced housing we saw in the neighborhood
The drainage system seemed to have been broken in places
