We strive to make the work lives of our users easier through Automation: streamlining processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing effort and errors. At IBM Automation Design we do this by employing data-driven product design methodologies to understand our users’ goals and pain points and by testing solutions that provide exceptional in-product experiences that yield exceptional business outcomes. That’s why it’s so rewarding when this commitment is recognized by judges and design leaders in the industry. I’m thrilled to announce that two of our product teams have won the prestigious Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2023 for Interface & User Experience Design. IBM Cloud Pak® for Watson AIOps and API Connect have won in this category.

Red Dot Design Award

“In search of good design” — the Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s largest design competitions. The Red Dot label has become established internationally as one of the most sought-after marks of quality for good design. In order to appraise the diversity in this field in a professional manner, the Red Dot Award breaks down into three disciplines: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept. Juried competitions for each of these disciplines are held once every year and a wide variety of companies and design studios from all over the world faced the professional judgement of this international jury of experts. I’m so proud of our designers for their hard work and dedication towards this significant recognition.

IBM Cloud Pak® for Watson AIOps

Resolving Information Technology (IT) problems is a signature experience within IBM Cloud Pak® for Watson AIOps. It helps IT Administrators, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), and IT Operators to confidently assess, diagnose, resolve, and avoid problems before they become outages affecting their customers or employees.

IBM Cloud Pak® for Watson AIOps — story overview

In today’s world, more data means more information for users to monitor. This overwhelming amount of information is insurmountable for a human to process. Assistance is needed to provide Artificial Intelligence (AI) that can help proactively identify and alert humans to issues before they escalate.

API Connect

IBM API Connect is the leading API Management enterprise solution that streamlines the creation, management and socialization of APIs for software developers at any skill level. Users can benefit from many innovative experiences that we built to address their top pain points. To assist novice API developers, we designed built-in templates that expedite the API creation process.
