How do you break down a wall you built around your creative self?

I wish I knew.

I have so many ideas, and so many critiques of them before they ever see the light of day. I know that other people have an inner critic as well; I just wish I knew a way to tell mine to shut the hell up a bit more often. It’s frankly exhausting staring at a blank page and not having anything come out of my pen.

I know that the longer I stare, the harder the effort to make the pen move. Hell, it took me 25 minutes to write this.

Anyone else out there on the interwebs have any ideas for how to tell the inner demons to sit down, shut up, and get back to getting?
