Problem Statement:

Urgent need of any stuff when there’s no source available, for say at night, midnight or in rural areas, where there are no shops nearby. Most of us face these problem on daily basis, so here’s my idea of building a platform which can be used for such times.

Solution/Idea Suggested:

“UrNeeds” stands for urgent needs, is a platform where people can ask for stuffs they are in need of; very urgently, when there is no option or resources available. So, the person in need can put a message and that message will be shown to every other person nearby(just 10 to 15 min away), and if anyone is willing to reach out to that person for help, they can communicate, and give stuff in exchange of money. Also, there will be a special option for “women only” and “men only” in case anyone needs.

IDEA Development

Implementation tools to understand the problem in deep and reach the root cause and provide solution for it.

5 WHY Analysis (finding root cause)

USER Perspective

After understanding the problem from a male and female perspective, I have thought of making something which considers every aspect of those problems.

HOW MIGHT WE

Now for moving forward, stakeholders are the key players which makes or breaks any task, so having our stakeholders clarity from the start is the utmost priority.

Stakeholder Mapping

As a service provider it is very important to take care of all the expenses and consider every aspect of business, from your customer segment to the revenues, so for that here we have our Business model.

Finally, it is always the best practice to show your customers what different is there in your service than others, so for that people can prioritize your service over anything else for some particular need. In short tell your “selling point”.

USP of UrNeeds

  • Urgent service provider (max 15–20 min away)
  • 24/7 availability
  • Easy online interaction through messaging.
  • Time to time subscription discount
  • Options available for messaging only men and only women, so that if women are comfortable asking for help from only women and men from other men.

Perceptual Mapping

For showing where our service stands in comparison to other similar service provider.

FUTURE VISION

“In future as in after 10–15 months , I see our service doing a joint venture with big brands like Uber, Swiggy, Zomato, etc. They sponsoring our service and providing us opportunity to reach more and more customers and cater to them.”

This was a student project done at NIFT UG Program by 3rd Year Students for the subject of Design Methods for Innovation. Faculty and Design Thinking Coach : Francis Xavier, who motivated me to put my idea out here and I am grateful to him for giving me this opportunity.
