With Adobe’s recent plan to train AI data on your images and photos, it’s time to find a Photoshop alternative.

When I think about photo editing, Photoshop always comes to mind.

And I frequently use it.

With all the changes in the terms and conditions for Adobe products, I have a significant issue with the tool.

I’m talking about the fact that when you save your content (photos, images, videos) to the Adobe Cloud, all this content can be used to train AI.

And while Adobe is going to damage control for this AI data training approach, Photoshop can still be expensive for most people.

And yes, you have to pay a monthly fee to use it.

If you don’t want to pay for Photoshop, there are other options.

These programs are cheaper or even free. Let’s look at some alternatives to Photoshop.

GIMP: The Free Option

GIMP is a free program that works like Photoshop.

It stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program. GIMP has been around since 1995. It has lots of features, just like Photoshop. You can do things like:

  • Work with layers
  • Use masks
