Difference between Art, Graphic Design and Technical communication

Art, Graphic Design and Technical communication are three different and distinct ways of visual communication.

Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. Art doesn’t have any boundaries. Any person with any form of professional credentials can create art. There are various forms of art and art is not confined to just visual form of art. It doesn’t have to follow any kind of constraint.

Graphic Design is the process of visual communication and problem solving through the correct use of typography, space, image and color. People with certain knowledge can create graphic design. It follows certain constraints in the process and its lead to an agenda.

Technical Communication is the means to convey scientific, engineering or any other technical information. Individuals in a variety of contexts and with varied professional credentials engage in technical communication. Some individuals are designated as technical communicators. It follows more focused constraints.
