I think several factors contribute to the success of IDEO.

First of all, proper team composition is the foundation of good design, it is not only a combination of talents and a platform for thinking but also an ecosystem that includes the process of information exchange, information processing, and reprocessing. In the case of Air New Zealand, it was very effective and efficient to understand the background and needs of the client for IDEO. In the brainstorming session, it is an exchange of experience between the designer and the practitioner, so that when the problem is raised, a solution can be found, and after the key is raised, feedback can be obtained quickly.

Secondly, a set of mature and reliable work processes is needed. The path and logic of problem-solving are summarized through experience, and such operating guidelines are consistently followed and considered team dogma. This standardized thinking process ensures that every time you face a different event, the team can still have efficient access to information, exchange information, and later provide solutions and exchange solutions. On the premise that the core idea remains unchanged, the team is able to take this as the center of their thinking and provide more detailed and appropriate solutions.
