“We’re on a mission to improve work by empowering the voice of your people. We help leaders tap into the collective intelligence within organizations to make work more human.“

The social innovation of the feedback platform Waggl aims to foster engagement of employees and managers and stimulate dialogue and alignment around critical business topics. It gets people involved and encourages actionable dialogue around topics that matter in the workplace. The clue to get people to speak up, especially in regards of difficult challenges and disputes, is that the feedback is anonymous what enables employees to have a say.

Waggl is an innovation which arises in importance since the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020 changed the way people work together. A sudden shift from working mostly in the office surrounded by the team, supervisors, and colleagues to working from home by yourself. Consequently, a change from face-to-face communication to online communication happened. I believe that this led to decreasing informal dialogues. The hurdle is much higher to discuss difficult topics due to not being able to recognize emotions and see how others react.

It inspires me that Waggl helps companies to implement transparency, honesty, and inclusion as this might be one of the hardest challenges corporations are facing. In addition, Waggl can strengthen the feeling of belonging, being part of a meaningful dialogue, and every person having impact. This implies that the social innovation of Waggl aimed to understand deeply users’ needs and their broader context and challenges in the communication and dialogue in the business world. The how human-centered process of Design Thinking is using the same approach.
