NEOM is a huge new industrial and commercial city program in northwestern Saudi Arabia. This city aims to shape the future through a diversified economy, innovative technology, and sustainable development. The centerpiece of NEOM is THE LINE project. It stands for a disruptive architectural revolution. The concept of this linear city is not only innovative, it is a bold challenge to traditional urban planning.

THE LINE’s unique linear urban design is based on a linear corridor of 170 kilometers in length, which breaks the convention of the traditional grid-shaped or checkerboard layout of the city.

This linear urban design organically connects the city’s functions and creates an efficient and convenient lifestyle for residents. For example, residents will be able to enjoy nature within a two-minute walk from their homes and the indoor climate will be ideal all year round.

THE LINE provides environmental value to the world through innovation. Its commitment to zero carbon emissions and 100% use of clean energy, including solar, wind, and hydrogen, minimizes its impact on the environment. This reflects Saudi Arabia’s extreme pursuit of sustainability and environmental protection and sets a new benchmark for the development of future cities. It is a good way to increase Saudi Arabia’s international influence.

The exterior of the city has a mirrored appearance, presenting an effect of reflections and reflections, allowing the modern city to blend in with the surrounding natural landscape. It also reflects the designer’s philosophy of human-centeredness and ecological coexistence.

With its innovative linear urban design and environmentally friendly concept of coexistence between people and nature, THE LINE is not only a visionary piece of creativity but also subverts the norms of modern architectural history and opens a new chapter in the field of architecture.
