User Centered Design: Beautiful design?

Tip #7 : Design is the conception of a whole. And designing should be done as a team.

In this drawing, our techman wants a “nice design” which means something beautiful out of this monster* prototype.

I will use an analogy to show you the problem.

Imagine a very very beautiful woman or man, but if she or he speaks, it’s awful, or not your language! How would you feel?

When we make a technical prototype beautiful, we try to compensate by aesthetics the lack of User Experience Design that must come at the beginning of project to warrant a good experience…. A pretty woman or man who also has a pleasant and elevating conversation, or speak your language ;-)

Owners, Project men, Techmen, Designers must work together from the beginning. That’s all, folks ;-)

* It’s the term we use to call the technical prototype made to ensure every part works together.
