User Centered Design: Worse solution

Tip #2 : The design (conception) must “solve” needs.
The solution must not be worse than the problem.

Design a “solution” that meets needs or expectations requires that this solution be better than the old one that was being used. A good solution must take it possible to do things better and more easily. We also tend to forget that access to the new solution may not be as simple as we think.

When it comes to digitalisation, perhaps a new solution will bring a lesser degree of user comfort, but enable others aspects. How will the users perceive this?
