2020 will be a year that none of us will ever forget! We will always remember how our habits and daily routines had suddenly changed starting mid-March. We were all forced to switch the easygoing, sociable office spaces and Friday after-work bar hopping, to a completely new world of 24/7 zooming while working from home with our 4 and 5-year-olds banging on the doors of our homemade offices.

Our perspectives and our priorities have changed, time with our loved ones came into focus while everything else became insignificant in this new world where family safety is paramount and, sadly, so often in jeopardy. The entire ecosystem of family values was transformed, and having a new iPhone is now far less important than making a call to our parents and relatives.

And yet, despite all the hardships and heartaches, this harrowing year has brought upon us, I feel like we have something to celebrate this coming Christmas and it’s not just the news about the vaccine. We can still find joy in those simple things that make our lives truly meaningful: spending time with our loved ones, even if we can’t hug them just yet, embracing the outdoors — a perfect cure for our growing cabin fever, being warmed by the fire with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate, all these things are still here, they are still just as precious and they all give us hope.

In this spirit of the holidays, Dignavidad 2020 International Invitational Poster Exhibition brought together more than 50 designers from all over the world to celebrate the 2020 Christmas! Organized by Felipe Jácome López and with the support of the WGD, these artworks traded in the glamor of the exhibition halls for the freedom and safety of the open spaces where they’ve been seen by the public. We hope that they brought some much-needed joy to people’s lives
