The N5 campus of Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, has a lot of posters all over the walls inside the campus. The posters are certainly well designed, informative and attractive. Students who want to know about different events go through the posters on the wall but most of the posters are not organized properly, also the poster walls are mixed with the outdated posters. Most of the students are attracted only to the visually appealing posters and miss out on the ‘not so well designed posters’. This eventually results in missing out on various events and programmes. Along with that students also find it difficult to find the required exact information that they want to know. Missing out on interesting events creates an unpleasant experience and an unsatisfying experience for the user. The core reason for the problem of unnoticed posters is that the posters lack proper organization, timely updates, detailed information and effective user engagement. Our primary user group is the students and faculty of Srishti School of Design.

To overcome the problem of unnoticed and unorganized posters in the campus we are planning to design an Audio Visual Conversational Interface named ‘Bella’. The primary aim of this audio visual interface (Bella) is to help Srishti Students and Faculties to know about the current events not only in Srishti School of Design, and Yelahanka but also the events happening in Bangalore. The secondary aim is to encourage people to attend events as these events help people to socialize and to develop holistically. We aim to improve the overall experience of looking and reading the paper posters on the wall, by providing a better audio visual conversational interactive experience to the user.

Bella will be a smart interactive device which will start a conversation with the user, as the user initiates the conversation. Soon after the user has initiated the conversation Bella will scan the users face and his expressions and intelligently detect user’s mood and respond to the conversation accordingly. Bella will be designed to empathize and understand user’s mood and behavior at that particular point of time. With the help of that, Bella will understand user’s likings and passions hence suggesting the user the best suitable events for him. Along with that Bella will also detect the accessories that the user is presently wearing and will give user suggestions for events, exhibitions and sales. Bella will be connected to facebook and will suggest events from facebook pages and also from the web. After the user has selected or decided where he wants to go, Bella will also help the user to block a seat and will eventually send the payment link and details to the user’s mobile number or users email address if required.

User can talk to Bella at any point of time in a day and Bella will provide them exact information that they are looking for or suggest them interesting ideas for their pastime. We plan to place Bella at different locations in N5 campus to give the best possible interactive informational conversation and engaging experience to the users.
