Week 3 of the course was mainly about discussing our second assessment. On Thursday, we started with a short film — a compilation of AI from different films. Though not directly applicable in our projects, I thought of how on a completely different scale, if we had all the material and skills and knowledge available to us, we would’ve probably been able to make something like that. Following that, we saw other groups’ code and also learnt how to save data into a file, which I implemented into our code too. It made the code much more concise and improved understanding.

On Friday, we had a small metaclass to discuss how we felt the class was. Personally, since I have done coding before, I didn’t have any issues with the pace of the class, only getting used to the syntax of Python in the beginning was a little bit of a problem. Second half of the day, we did a small revision of everything we had learnt in our classes thus far. It helped with getting used to the syntax, and helped me to start thinking in terms of Python instead of Java.

I’m really looking forward to improving our code for A3 with all the techniques and tools we’ve learnt.
