Getting to know Python…!

The second week was much more intense and exhausting than the first week. It started with the exhibition. Showing our projects to others helped us to understand and consider many more facets of our project. We were able to understand the strengths, weaknesses and flaws in our project through others’ advice and opinions. As we displayed our project in its initial stage and not after fully completing it, it was easier for us to incorporate the changes into our project.

This week we started programming with python. Initially we coded in python shell and they after getting the hang of it, we moved to Atom. As we started coding in Atom, I understood why we learnt the basics of command line. We were using Atom and Command Prompt simultaneously and initially it was very strenuous but within 15 -20 minutes we were accustomed to it because it was quite easy. As we progressed, the codes and their outcomes became more and more interesting. Strings, functions, loops, conditional statements — I loved it all.

Now we have to code our prototypes, this task would need us to explore more into the world of python and I am very excited about it. I am already looking forward to the next four classes.
