So far the class has been pretty engaging and interesting , the assignment that we received feels like a reflection of all the technologies that we have studied about up till now . These insights made it much clearer for me to direct my thinking for the A1 assignment .

To fully understand a developed technology today , one must study its earlier history and failures in order to not repeat the same mistakes , or to think along the lines of how it developed over time and what it needs in the future .

The variety of videos that we saw , ranging from initial emergence of certain technologies like the sketch bad and ELIZA in comparison to the conversational agents of todays time was a good comparison .

My most favorite item on the listed links was the lost interview of Steve Jobs , it was utterly inspiring and reflected on how fast and strangely the technical industry grows and falls . Based on the time period that this video was published in ,there was a fair amount of futuristic ideas predicted by him that are true today .His dedication and zeal for his company to succeed and his aim to deliver the most efficient and user friendly products was inspiring .

There were some parts in our reading material that were a little confusing , the reading on hackers and painters , he talked about programming software that were easy to use by someone who knows nothing about it , but at the same time he talked about hacking . What I found interesting was the definition the speaker associated to when he used the word “hacker”.

It seemed to be such a broad term , as he talked about so many aspects that were included in it that I wasn’t aware of and how much of it was shear logic. It was a very interesting read .

The conversation agents video was also very insightful. The idea of making it a human interactive device and the work and research behind achieving that dialogue between the user and the device , and it to be effective in a way , that the response must seem natural . learning the fact that we are so predictable , that for almost every interaction there is a probable reply that the device can calculate , it is the making of these devices that are more intriguing than the final product .

Besides the readings , I enjoyed the 2 days of coding as well , I have worked before on R studio , but this was very different from that , I am interested to know in what direction this class goes in the terms of what we can do later with the coding we learn .
