For the last few months, I have been talking to many peers around the industry about the need that we have to share lessons and learn more about the design leadership journey from established and emerging design leaders. Many ask questions about problems and situations they face and how to solve them. They also wonder how have other design leaders in different stages of their journey tackle these kinds of problem, the hurdles they face and the obstacles they learn to avoid in the process.

Many design leaders in different stages of their careers are willing to share their leadership lessons. I have been fortunate to get the opportunity to speak to some design leaders around the world and ask them key questions about the challenges they encounter along the way, and what are some of their keys to success. If they have failed, what have they learned. If they are successful in driving culture transformation programs at scale what are the key ingredients that they have found contribute to their success leading design programs with enterprise impact

I am extremely thankful to many people who have been part of the incubation period for Design Impact who have encouraged me to pursue it and that believe that it is our duty as design leaders to share our stories, help others and give back to the community. Younger designers who are looking to get into roles of business and strategic impact are looking for practical case studies and lessons from others. Established practitioners are interested in learning from their peers or are willing to share their own stories from the corporate battlefield.

Design Impact is looking to include perspectives from all areas of design leadership, from UX Research, UX Architecture, Design Strategy and Design Program Management just to name a few.

We are always open to meet design leaders. If you have design people in mind, would like to share your story, facilitate an introduction or suggest folks we should reach out to, please let us know @ DesignImpact

We invite you to share your comments, questions, and perspectives.
