🔷 Refining the script
We went through round two for the script which helped us narrow down on the state for the virtual assistant. We divided our script into four different phases. Phase-0 will be the intro, Phase-1 will be the Virtual Tour, Phase 2-Style Quiz and Phase 3-Augmented Reality.

🔷 Working on the form
Next step was to start visualising the form. We had a couple of ideas around it. We were playing around several ideas. An abstraction of the IKEA logo, floor plan, of two-point perspective, play of elements.

🔷 Motion Exploration

🔷 Refining the form

Post the feedback we received from our peers and faculty, we decided to simplify our form to something even simpler. A form that helps us effectively communicate all the states.

🔷 Refining the Motion

We went through the first round of brainstorming. We divided up the motions for the first round.

Refining the motion to achieve a cohesive family and introducing transitions between two states.

🔷 UI

First-round was whiteboarding low fidelity wireframes that would help us get the UI in motion. Here we had to take a direct plunge from low-fidelity to exploring the UI due to time constraints.

We had the Ikea brand guidelines to get started. We focused on keeping the UI clean, clear yet playful

Starting with the V1, the problem was that it looked quite bland and lacked the playfulness of IKEA.

Version 1 and Version 2

Version 2

We focused on adding a playful element and a bit more of a character to the overall UI.

Version 3.

🔷 Sound

This was one of the most exciting days for us as we as a group experienced a completely different side of production.

🔷 After Effects

It was the weekend and we went all guns blazing in. Finalised our UI and started working on animating our screens

🔷 Making a movie
