Documentation for IXD Studio -II

We have a week to go for the presentation and this week has been an intense one with us refining, polishing and honing in on the final video script. We worked on creating assets for the video frames, the wireframes and the UI Screens along with the final presentation.

Video Script and Assets

In our attempt to truly bring out the essence of the artefact, we tried recreating the tale of Mary from the character’s perspective in the year 2045. She looks back at her journey of moving to Portland and adjusting to the ways of the city.

The Script and Scenes

Wireframes and UI Design

For the UI Design, we took inspiration from the visual language of PPS and retained the basic brand colours of teal and blue, refining them to look futuristic.

We wanted to incorporate the dandelion metaphor in the screens and spin a tale with each pod of the dandelion floating around, symbolising a concern or theme.

UI Screens 1.0 — The Dandelion Affair

After rounds of iteration, we settled for a minimalistic look and feel with widgets floating around sans a definite grid structure. The glassmorphic style adds a futuristic tangent highlighted by the lack of a concrete layout.

UI Screens

We have the assets in place for the video with the video in production mode. The next step for us is to refine the UI screens further for the video and draft the final presentation.
