Value Prop

Our value prop was narrowed down to this statement:

“Connect is a service that facilitates communication between parents, teachers and nurses and ensures that they are on the same page in regards to a child’s Individualized Health Plan (IHP).

This is to insure that… in the case of an emergency there is no miscommunication.”

We used the Value Proposition Canvas to understand the value of Connect. The main point is to gain alignment and to talk about contingencies plans for if something goes wrong.

In talking about contingency plans, issues such as the inhaler being locked up in the principles office come up and can be addressed. Or if not addressed, the parent is then aware and can advocate for their child.

This meeting is so that parents, teachers, and nurses can all be on the same page. In public schools this conversation only happens between the parent and the nurse, in Private schools this conversation happens at hoc, and by chance. Our value prop is making sure that this conversation is complete, and our service provides best practices.
