How has COVID-19 impacted the work and education space?

One long term change we envision occurring in the workplace and education systems, is the continued use of remote access for a number of employees and students. The percentages range from total remote in the case of some jobs and schools, to partial remote and hybrid environments in others.

Students and employees currently operating in a fully remote setting are feeling disconnected. We predict that as work and school move towards hybrid — in-person and remote — settings, this feeling will become worse for those who are remote.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to bridge the gap between students and employees who are remote with those in-person, fostering human connection.

At SpaceBoard, we believe there is a place for analog. It is amazing that we can communicate and see others over any distance, but none of the remote experiences we create can fully replicate tactile collaborative work.

Our goal at SpaceBoard, is to be a hand that spans the gap, and allows for human connectedness over any length of space to provide a more intimate distance learning and work environment.

Our Product

Our product is a paired two-axis mechanical and digital whiteboard system. Remote users have the ability to upload files to be drawn or can draw real time via a tablet, and in-person users have the ability to physically interact with the board that will reflect digitally for remote users. We believe the work and education space is changing, and that SpaceBoard will be a part of the hybrid environment future.

Who will use SpaceBoard?

We will be a bridge in the work and educational space.

Our product will be utilized by teachers who lead a hybrid style class, remote employees looking to contribute to workplace meetings, friends looking to connect over any distance, and by you! Our users will be able to engage with their remote environment in a physical way and be seen for more than their thumbnail video. In addition to adding input to a physical whiteboard over a digital medium, we plan on rolling out smaller boards so that the remote users can physically transcend space and contribute to their peers’ work.

We make the digital, physical.

We are SpaceBoard.
