One thing we look for when it comes to working in cafés is how fast is the internet speed. This week, we ran around to our favourite different hideouts, drinked an unhealthy amount of flat whites, and tested the internet speed to discover the fastest cafés in Beijing. Enjoy!

For the following internet speed tests we used www.testmy.net to a server in Hong Kong. Internet speed tests are conducted by measuring how fast it takes to send data to the user, usually measured by seconds. The slowest is Kbps, or kilobits per second. Next up are Mbps or megabits per second, 1000 kilobits makes 1 megabit. Internet speeds vary depending on the amount of people using it at the same time, so even if the connection is normally fast, it may be slower if too many people are accessing it.
