Over the years web design has seen a lot of innovation. Using animation in websites is a new trend that is used by designers to improve its user experience. And we at Designway are huge advocates of web animations. It’s what turns an ordinary website into a mind-blowing and memorable one.

In the following post, we will be discussing the types of animations that you can use to jazz up your website.

1. Loading

Users normally have to wait for heavy files or web pages to lead. Using fun loading animations, or throbbers is a great way to make their wait a little less boring. A good loading animation not only entertains the user as he waits but also keeps him interested, improves the user experience, and adds personality to your website.

2. Welcome

Welcome animations are a great way of giving the user a good first impression of your site. A site with a good user interface and captivating web animation will keep users coming back. You can make your animation more interesting by making it real-time, which follows the movement of the cursor.

3. Scrolling

Scrolling animations are transitions that show up with every scroll by the user. Scroll-triggered animations make the content more interesting and dynamic and make the user stick around longer. People tend to skim through a text-rich webpage, here scroll animations come in handy to give the content more emphasis.

4. Image gallery

Image gallery animations help users view multiple images without much effort while making the viewing process more interesting. An animated gallery allows you to showcase your product, work, or content images by giving it a direction through either slideshows or carousels. All of this while using much less space.

5. Storytelling

In recent years animated storytelling has become much more popular. It’s a great way of comprehensively conveying a message to the user. Using animations to tell your story gives your site character, makes it more engaging, and helps you build an emotional bond with the user.
