Bond Collective is a series of seriously gorgeous workspaces in New York City. Each matches the mood of the building and neighborhood its in but, in total, Bond Collective is working to redefine luxury office space.

In 10 words or less, explain why you started your space.

To create a workspace that was sophisticated yet accessible.

What do people first notice when they walk in?

Generally, our design. Our in-house design team led by Elide Grabowski puts their expert touch on every part of our spaces. Specifically, it depends on the location. We create each location’s design based on the neighborhood it lives in so each location is very different from the next.

All of our spaces are unique to their location, so the design style varies. Overall they are sophisticated but accessible.

What’s around your space for a coworker looking to stretch their legs?

Given we have four locations right now, it varies! Our Financial District locations are housed within one of the most buzzing areas of New York, so there’s almost everything nearby. Near Flation, there are the best choices for lunch and happy hour. Lastly, at Bond Gowanus, it’s a very residential area so we are surrounded by a tight nit community that has such strong local businesses.

Comfortable, flexible, productive

How does your space embody the neighborhood?

If you see both Bond Gowanus and Bond 55 Broadway, you’ll immediately realize the difference. Gowanus is more rustic with exposed brick and wood flooring, whereas Bond 55 Broadway is sleek with concrete floors and old world furnishings. Each location matches the neighborhood vibe.

What are some cool features of one of the spaces?

The stairwell in Bond Gowanus. The bold colors and lighting made the stairs such a focal point in the room.

In Bond Gowanus, we also have a production and sound studio available for member use. This is a convenient amenity for members (and non-members) to utilize within their own office space. We are in the process of developing a post production room to bring the amenity full circle.

What’s an example of collaboration that happened at one of the spaces?

At Bond Flatiron, one of our oldest and dearest members is a tax consultant. She has grown her business exponentially by making connections within our space and developed lasting client relationships.

How have members helped you?

Over the past few years we’ve had members work as consultants and/or help support our business efforts. An example of that is a member that specializes in SEO in Bond Flatiron has been helping us with our corporate efforts for a few months. It’s a fun process to get the opportunity to work with your own members.

Why do you believe in coworking?

Growing up in a very tight knit community, inclusion is incredibly important to me and I want that to be felt in all of our locations. I believe coworking is truly disrupting the commercial real estate industry by creating a new way for companies to work.

Why offer Deskpass?

Deskpass is a great way for us to have folks see and utilize our space. It also allows users to interact with our community. Who knows, connections could be made there as well!

Our Community Managers really enjoy getting to know new faces in their respective locations and showing off their space.
