Why start a coworking space?
We wanted to build a curated ecosystem primarily used as a tool of transformation for Salt Flats clients, as well as entrepreneurs and leaders of tomorrow working out of the space. We believe in in the courageous and bold to solve the greatest problems and the ideas to get you there are only fostered in a network of collaborators.
How does Salt Flats Innovation House embody the neighborhood?
Salt Flats Innovation House was an original Harpo Studios building — how do you get more Chicago and West Loop than Oprah?!
How do you describe your space?
It’s a place for flexible innovation, with large, open spaces — perfect to sink in and get to work. From the oversized lounges and event space on the first floor, to varied sit/stand and collaborative work stations on the second, there’s something cool and interesting everywhere you look! We prioritize elevated hospitality so folks can be comfortable and get creative.
What’s around your space?
It’s the West Loop — we have amazing restaurants everywhere you turn! If you want a quick lunch hit sweetgreen, Roti, Capriotti’s, Nando’s, Nonna’s. For an afterwork drink, Madison row has great bars and restaurants. And we get to rub shoulders with our neighbors like McDonald’s World Headquarters and Google. We’re in good company.

There’s always a cup of complimentary, proprietary coffee blend with Metric Coffee ready for you. We’ve got in-house programming and events and a proprietary app to reserve conference rooms and order food to your meeting. For taking a break, you can enjoy one of our lush lounges and the 30' bar.
