Why do people spend long hours working in your space?
Members of our coworking space spend long hours here, because of the environment, atmosphere, and location. Our founder, Vivienne Yang, has a vision for a creative coworking space — one that merges work and artistic flair. The VillageOne coworking space is complemented by music, which encourages positive ambiance.
What design term best represents your space?
“Radiant minimalism.” The VillageOne coworking space is efficiently designed, complemented by large windows and natural lighting. Our furniture layout is scalable and allows us to meet the demands of our members, ensuring that they are comfortable, whether they’re sitting at a desk or hosting a meeting.
Do you offer any unique services?
VillageOne offers 24-hour access to its members. Very few coworking spaces in Manhattan offer this feature. For instances, when our members need to pull an all-nighter or want to come in on the weekend to work on some pages of their latest novel, the space is available.
How does your space embody the neighborhood?
Vivienne Yang’s vision was to create a coworking space that embodied art and brought the gallery to a workspace. VillageOne is located in Soho, which remains one of the most important art locations in New York City. The space also features a photography and production studio, which caters to professional photographers, designers, and basically the entire New York City art community.
If someone walked in to your space and thought all your members were 1 company, what kind of company would they think you were?
If someone walked into the VillageOne coworking space, they’d probably think that we were some successful startup. Our members are extremely happy and productive. Behind the intense faces concentrating on laptop screens are creative souls working with their own genius.
Why do you believe in coworking?
Coworking is an effective solution for the modern worker and startup companies. It provides companies with the ability to work in new or different environments and introduce new energy. It also provides them with the opportunity to join a creative community and support system. One that offers an abundance of professional resources to contributing to their success.
