A new vision for publishing platforms
The problem is clear, still nowadays to express our ideas and opinions we use platforms belonging to Web2 such as Discord, Telegram, or Medium, even for those who are more accustomed to the blockchain and crypto world. Where, however, the typical problems of Centralized Social Networks arise:
- appropriation of users’ personal data to decide what content to show to them, without knowing how the algorithms work.
- sell personal data by infringing the privacy of their users.
- complete control over the user’s published content

People’s thoughts when it comes to places to share ideas, articles, and thoughts can be heavily influenced by indexing results, skewing people’s thought neutrality in a sneaky and unfair way. As Desmos Network, we strongly believe in the deployment of a new generation of decentralized platforms that put users at the center of the system.
Well, Scripta designed a solution
Scripta is a decentralized platform designed to manage and publish blog posts and, more generally, web articles. Users can create their own spaces in which to freely publish content or import their own articles previously published on other platforms. Posts are indexed externally in major search engines and in an internal feeding system within the platform. This allows users to take advantage of a section that suggests various articles related to the content in which they have already shown interest. Readers can also leave comments, reactions and tips in $DSM.
We are contributing to building a better web3
One of the reasons Web3 came into being is precisely to give users freedom, without their fear of being censored or controlled by a higher authority. Scripta was born out of the need to give the right to speak to anyone while maintaining anonymity, using all the benefits of blockchain, such as the distribution of tokens for a reward system and the misuse of user data by an intermediary. The content reporting system is designed to be as decentralized as possible, in a way that respects the basic ethical principles of the blockchain. In support of this, offensive or inappropriate content can be reported and handled by a semi-automatic moderation system.
The rewards system
A missing key factor in traditional social networks, but very important in our view, is a form of reward for users who create value for the social itself through the content they create. For this reason, Scripta created a reward system governed by a smart contract, that distributes reward tokens to users who create articles with a minimum threshold of engagement. The distribution of such rewards will be strongly incentivized, especially for the first users.
No shady algorithms or intermediaries
Scripta is a platform that fully respects users’ privacy and data, so it does not use any malicious algorithms to appropriate this information. In a world increasingly controlled through digital means, privacy has become a fundamental right to be defended with one’s own strength, lest one be condemned to pay a higher price in the future. With this effort we hope to be able to provide a place for web3 users to share any kind of information without being afraid to express their thoughts.
