DESTINY DECODED SERIES

IN STORES NOW:http://td.je/destinybn

Over the next 3 weeks, we will be taking an in-depth look at Destiny as guided by Bishop T.D. Jakes’ extremely popular sermon series.

Part 15 of 18

Time Stamp: 1:47–4:01

The birthing process of any being is a traumatic one. Take a look at how humans are born. With pushes, grunts, and an overwhelming experience of pain and expenditure of energy, a baby is brought into the world. But, have you ever thought about it from the perspective of the baby? As the baby grows, everything it knows is in its mother’s womb. The baby eats, sleeps, develops, and plays in its mother’s womb.

Then, something happens.

With all that’s going on in the womb, the baby is growing. Things suddenly become uncomfortable for the child. It has grown too large for its environment. Not only has the baby gotten too big, the walls of the womb are closing in! What was once comfortable is now uncomfortable. The food isn’t satisfying anymore. It’s almost as if the only “house” the baby knows now wants the baby out!

It’s time for birth. It’s time to transition from one level to the next.

Each of us go through this process on our birthdays, but we revisit the birthing process when it is time for us to step into our destiny. Think about it. What you lived for doesn’t satisfy you like it once did. The people you hang around don’t stimulate you anymore. The methodology you have toward life is no longer working. You have outgrown your current level, and it’s time for you to transition to the next.

Don’t fret over this process.

Leaving old things behind calls for joy. New challenges, ideologies, opportunities, and experiences lie before you. Your destiny is calling you to bigger and better things. If life on “this” level leaves you dissatisfied, why would you fight to stay in something you believe is uncomfortable? Do not hold onto old thinking, methods, processes, habits, and routines.

Embrace this change. It’s time to transition.
