The team is at the core of everything we do here at Destructive Digital and the bond between us is essential to the amazing workplace culture. Being a digital company it’s really important for us to disconnect from the grid now and then, shut the laptops and return to the physical world.

Developing interpersonal relationships within the team is a really core part of our culture. To help this flourish we have a get together once a month, not working but just socialising and getting to know each other better.

Having a broad range of personalities, interests and background we looked for some synergies within the team that we can all enjoy outside of work. One thing we will all love is food, we’re a bunch of foodies and our nights out really show this; visiting all manner of restaurants trying new foods from around the world from the less popular Chicken Feet through to the tantalizing Brazilian Steak.

This month (April 2018) we decided to change it up a bit and had a team lunch rather than the traditional evening out. As always we wanted to try something different food wise and discovered a great indian street food eatery for lunch. Here’s what we thought…

Atmosphere

As the photo at the top shows the interior is great, it’s a brilliant example of vibrant funky street art decor with the less polished feel that you’d expect in the streets of India. The team here are also great being quick to serve you and also providing everything with a smile.

Even though we were only a small group we could certainly see ourselves here with a larger group as they have the space, the vibe and the team to delivery something memorable.

Food

Of course the most important part for us is the food, in short it’s great — really tasty, filling and well priced.

They offer a great range of choices from more traditional style curries through to contemporary wraps, with of course the perfect naan bread accompaniments (the photo below shows these perfect naans).

Team Reviews

Gagan says…

I’m always a little cautious with trying food places as there’s usually limited vegetarian options. However the food was delicious, I had the paneer wrap which was tasty but could have used a little more spice for my taste! I’ve visited a few times now and would absolutely visit again.”

Alex says…

“Tamatanga was really great, i’d already been there once before and on both occasions I have been thoroughly impressed. It serves as a great example of a trendy contemporary Indian restaurant. One of the best things is the funky street style decor of the restaurant. The food was tasty, well portioned and the company was amazing as always. I would give the food a solid 4 stars!”

Dean says…

“I absolutely love Indian cuisine and have a curry at least once a week so the suggestion for Indian street food was an instant yes from me. I thought the food was great and with plenty of options for even a fussy eater like myself. The decor and atmosphere overall was something that drew me there as I felt this captured the colourful lifestyle of India.”

Conclusion

We’re Indian food lovers as it is and Tamatanga just reinforces our love, with a great atmosphere and decor we really look forward to returning again with our growing team.
