TechDay Countdown: 5 must know co-working spaces in NYC
As part of a countdown to us attending Tech Day NYC the team and I will be writing a series of a blogs surrounding the Big Apple! 🍎 From our favourite places to eat, through to what inspires us… be sure to check in every week!
Co-working is great for entrepreneurs starting out, providing people to bounce ideas off of, that human interaction (better than working home alone) and great networking opportunities — it is a great place to flourish and grow your business! For most of us co-working spaces are often the first home and kickstart the exciting journey.
So to begin our countdown, I’ve collated our 5 must know co-working spaces in NYC that you may not be aware of!
NeueHouse is buzzing with entrepreneurs and creative teams that thrive from the range of experiences, workspaces and personalised services NeueHouse offer. This is a great place to network and a great workspace to be part of, with offices in NYC and LA it’s the perfect home for innovators across the creative arts such as film, branding, fashion, architecture and many more.
WeWork has recently been identified as one of the biggest property tenants in NYC, that’s clear when you realise there are 50 offices in NYC alone with many others across the US and UK. We love the community experiences you get from being in a WeWork office. Also, like us, they live and breath technology providing stellar support for tech startups — a great example of this is their FlatIron coding school!
We absolutely love the quirky and unique vibe at The Farm office, this is why it stands out as one of the most unique co-working spaces in city (perhaps even the state). The office is primarily focused at freelancers who can work anywhere and everywhere, however this isn’t a restriction and could be ideal for a new business. The Farm is always an inspiration to us due to the natural and organic design integrated into the office space, helping us escape the pressures and bustle of Manhattan life.
The Yard is one of our favourite examples of a mixture of work and play, with a buzzing community of ambitious entrepreneurs and offices down the East Coast and across the city too. There’s also a big focus on art at The Yard which is great for inspiration, combined with some of the best looking (and award winning) office spaces in New York.
What we love about Joynture offices is that they’re packed with a range of startups in sectors spanning across AR/VR, AI, 3D Printing, Video Games and of course Fintech. It’s brilliant watching the space grow and expand, they’ve now recently opened their Philadelphia offices which is really exciting. We truly feel that Joynature provides a comfortable, productive coworking space that inspires startups!
