Time is flying by and Tech Day NYC is just around the corner.

In the 21st century our work life can often become our entire lives, but we all have time for some great food right?

In today’s blog I will be talking about some of the team’s favourite lunch spots in NYC, and hopefully give you some ideas for your next lunch break...

Café Madame SouSou

This one’s for those who have days where they just fancy a quick little bite and a good ol’ hot beverage. Finding inspiration from the streets of France, Café Madame SouSou has carefully crafted their independent coffee shop as though it was hand-picked from France itself.

They pride themselves on the intrinsic details from the decor right the way through to music. Whether you’re working remotely or visiting on your lunch break… it’ll most certainly feel like you’re on vacation.

Union Fare

Union Fare is located at the heart of Union Square, they offer a HUGE variety of food with something for everyone from made-to-order salads, tacos, poké all the way through to pizzas and burgers.

The place has a great warm and welcoming ambience and can really help bring a jolt of energy to a slow day.

Just Salad

If you’re feeling a bit more health focused and fancy something a bit more green then Just Salad is the place to go. The idea is simple, you pick what you want in the salad and it is handcrafted in front of you.

They use local fresh ingredients and even provide reusable bowls to do their bit for the environment, could they get any nicer? With locations popping up all over NYC be sure to check them out.

Di Fara Pizza

We of course have to suggest a pizza for lunch, it’s at the heart of every New Yorkers diet (at some point) — we’re not talking about your dollar store pizzas though, this is something a bit more special.

Di Fara Pizza is one of the real gems hidden in the heart of NYC, widely known as one of the best pizzerias in the city. The owner, Domenico DeMarco, opened the joint in 1964 and hasn’t stopped working since!

Each and every pie is handcrafted by Dom himself, who has perfected his craft for over 40 years. The place is so popular queues of up to 2 hours have been seen on the sidewalk…

Dos Toros Taqueria

We all love a bit of Mexican food now and then and if there’s one place we absolutely love to get ours from in NYC it’s Dos Toros Taqueria. Located in the Financial District, Dos Toros was founded by two brothers from San Francisco who were appalled at the lack of good Mexican food in NYC.

This lunch spot covers all the essentials from tacos to burritos through to stunning quesadillas. If you love Mexican food like me then this is the place for you; they of course use local and fresh ingredients so there’s really no excuse not to go!

Well… that’s a wrap! 🌯

No doubt your salivating at the thought of lunch now so I won’t keep you any longer. Grab yourself a great lunch and be sure to tell your friends and colleagues about them too!
