It all began on a cool afternoon when I received a call from Devcareer that I was among the selected few for the pilot phase of the program. I was so happy that I couldn’t sleep until the commencement of the program. You might be wondering which organization is Devcareer. Don’t, I got you covered.

Devcareer is a non-profit organization that helps budding developers to achieve their dreams, by providing them with the tools to make their journey in the world of tech a successful one. For more info about DevCareer, visit devcareer.io or @devcareer on twitter.

The program started on the 14th of August 2019 and it’s been a wonderful journey so far. I was equipped with resources for my frontend development and also assigned a mentor to guide me during the course of the program in the person of Chidi Bartholomew Okoye.

After the first week of the program, we were told to create a Tribute page of our own to show how far we have gone. It was interesting to develop a web page from scratch to enhance our development.

So far, I have learned how to work with Git as well as building web pages from scratch. Though I still have a long way to go, I believe I’m on the right track.

In conclusion, I will like to show my appreciation to all the organizers of the program in person of Sultan, Chidi Bartholomew Okoye, Olagoke Tobi Enoch as well as all sponsors who in one way contributed to the successful implementation of the program. Without leaving out ccHub that accommodates us with an enabling environment to work from. You all are the real MVP. I promise to make you all proud by the end of the program.
