Late last year, members of Devcenter Square and developers in the Nigerian tech ecosystem participated in a survey we dispatched.

The goal of this annual survey is to measure and reveal interesting data points in the Nigerian developer community. Some of the results we got were predictable — there still aren’t a lot of women in the tech industry while others were shocking — Javascript might be more popular than PHP. The infographic touches on demographics, tools used by Nigerian devs, learning habits, work status and their plans for the future of work.

We dispatched a similar survey in 2016 and when we compared the data, a lot of things have changed.
