We have three reduced price places up for grabs on our part-time Front-End Web Development course starting on 8th September.

In support of our mission to ensure nobody is marginalised by the rapid advance of the digital industries; we are offering these places at the vastly reduced rate of £500 (usual cost £1500). The subsidised places are being offered to two groups sadly underrepresented in tech: mothers returning to work and those who identify as black, Asian and minority ethnic.

The Opportunity Fund has been designed to address the lack of diversity in the tech industry and enable access to sought after digital skills to those who may otherwise struggle due to social or financial limitations. This current scheme has been made possible by contributions from Ecotricity, Future, Goram + Vincent, Calvium and mmtm.

“As the digital revolution increasingly touches every aspect of our lives, the UK needs a technology workforce that reflects the full diversity of the people who use that technology.”

The part-time Front-End Web Development course teaches the fundamentals of front-end web development across a 6 week part-time curriculum on Tuesday evenings + 2 full Saturdays.

Delivered in a flexible schedule that can fit around a 9–5 job or child care restrictions, we will teach you all the key skills required to code mobile-friendly, responsive websites from scratch, using HTML5 and CSS3 and the latest web development practices from industry experts. With the UK’s digital sector creating jobs twice as fast as the wider economy, developing digital skills has never been more important.

Anyone interested in applying for these subsidised places should email hello@developme.training and outline a bit about your background, current situation and why you would like to attend the course.

Deadline for applications is Friday, August 24th.
