Did you ever want to make a website and went searching for multiple devices and network speeds to know how it renders and how fast it takes to download the page assets? Then you are in the right place to know how things work using Google Chrome’s Developer tools.

In your Developer tools, navigate to the Network tab and then you would be given options for network speed in the Throttling dropdown.

Throttling dropdown contains a series of options to pick from. By default it has the 3G, 2G, GPRS, Offline, DSL and WiFi. The best thing about this throttling is the Offline part as one can emulate single page applications’ showing nice “You are not connected to the internet” messages.

I hope this post was useful! Do share your thoughts about Network Throttling if you have any.
