Android-Q Is Coming!!

Google announced the first Android Q beta on March 13, 2019, but only a handful of devices can access this early build. The devices in question are all six Google Pixels, dating back to 2016 models. Here the new feature in Android Q beta release :

Dark Mode

We knew that Android Q was coming with a system-wide dark mode, but in the first beta build, things are not so straightforward. Although the dark mode exists albeit in wider areas of the system, turning it on requires users to jump through a hurdle or two. Developers will also get an option that seems to force apps without dark modes to switch to the nighttime-friendly color scheme.

Foldable Support

The big feature for 2019 is support for “foldable and innovative new screens”. This is more a feature for developers, with back-end changes that will help make their apps ready for the big, folding screens of the top-tier phones. But at least we know Google’s making sure Android is ready for them.

Sharing Shortcut

The Direct Share API allows developers to provide direct recipients who we wished to share content with via the share sheet — be it a contact in your favourite messaging app or email, this provides a quick way for your to share content with them directly. However, whilst this feature is pretty neat, the execution of it was never that smooth.

Screenshots now include rounded corners and notches

The notch became popular a year or so ago, but it never appeared in screenshots captured on a device with a notch or any other cutout for that matter. With Android Q, screenshots not only include notches, but also the rounded screen corners as well.

There is a lot of features that Android Q gave to Android users, but Google has released Beta Version just for Pixel devices. If you have any one of the six Pixel phones currently available, then you can download the Android Q beta right away on your device. Google says there will be up to six beta releases before the stable version arrives in Q3 2019, following the timeline below.
