Passing On What We’ve Learned

Hi.

We’re the people that build Flow. You probably haven’t heard of us before, and that’s ok.

So, who are we? Well, we’re just regular people. We’re musicians, parents, dog-lovers, and artists. We’re a company that has taken no funding, had customers for five years, and a team that’s been together for the better part of that.

What do we do? We could talk about how we used x or y to deliver something in record time, or why this other thing is better because it’s theoretically more pure. Some of that might even be true. But, that’s not why we’re here. Turns out that there’s one thing that we’re all really good at here at Flow: learning.

Learning from our mistakes, learning new things, and learning together — that’s what makes us who we are, and all we want to do is to pass on some of what we’ve learned. This will not be a pulpit. We are not firebrands with a cause. We are a bunch of friends who have made some things and are figuring it out as we go; that’s what we want to share here.

We’d like to share our stories with you. Stories of our greatest conquests, proudest moments, and most defeating failures. Some of them might be obvious, and they’ve probably been said before, but these ones are uniquely ours.

We’re probably not going to be right most of the time, but that’s ok. There is rarely ever a right answer when it comes to these things. Every company, product, and person has a unique set of skills, strengths and challenges that make their situation unique. The best we can do is share our stories.
