After two weeks of work, and eighty entrants into our developer slack we are happy to announce the winners of the Devery Hackathon! After much deliberation amongst the judges, the entrants we found most interesting are shown below —

Autotracker — 1st Prize

Repository — https://github.com/johngrantuk/deveryHackathon
We found this application to be a creative use of the protocol for an actual industry application. This submission demonstrates a possible value in implementation of the protocol in the automotive industry, and further was well fleshed out and well coded.

Ethereum Barcode — 2nd Prize

Repository — https://github.com/blockchain-doppelganger/ethereum_barcode/tree/with_registration
This submission demonstrates the key allure of an Ethereum based barcode generator — one that is fast, open and readily usable by anyone. In addition, this entry was well coded and the idea fleshed out well.

Clavo — 3rd Prize

Using the protocol to track fake artwork is something that is promising — in this case, this entry focused on the application of the ledger to track genuine and fake aboriginal artwork. The idea could have been improved in terms of code and design but the judges felt that this represents an area of great promise.

Honorable Mention — Devery Explorer

Repository — https://github.com/johngrantuk/deveryExplorer
A great tool increasing the developer experience for users of the DeveryJS framework and protocol contracts.

These applications show the potential of the Devery protocol as we hope to onboard additional developers onto the platform. We will be reaching out to each of the winners to send their prizes.

Also entrants whom participated and whom did not place an entry — we will be reaching out within the slack channel! We look forward to increasing use of our toolset and look forward to increasing the use of our toolset through our next hackathon!
