DEVit Conference 2020 cancelled

DEVit is more than just a conference. It is a community. A community of talented, self-driven developers, designers, students and entrepreneurs who share the same passion for technology. DEVit conference has been the meeting point for all these people since 2015 and every year we aim at setting the bar higher and delivering a world-class conference.

So, when we started organizing DEVit 2020, we thought that this year was not an exception. We were working hard on how to deliver even more value and knowledge to the attendees of this year’s Conference. But the current events have got us troubled and concerned too. What we are all going through right now is shockingly unprecedented and disturbing. After following carefully, the updates on the coronavirus pandemic and as the world is troubled by a deep concern, we have come to the very difficult decision to cancel DEVit 2020.

The health and wellbeing of attendees, speakers, sponsors and everyone who is helping with the conference is of utmost importance to us. Having taken into consideration the current situation and given the volunteering nature of our organization, we have concluded that canceling this year’s event is the best way to go. Instead of postponing the Conference for some time within 2020, we believe it is the most prudent decision for us to return for DEVit 2021. By skipping DEVit 2020 we wish to contribute to the safety of the DEVit community. Our amazing team of volunteers has been working hard in preparation for this year’s conference and we are all disappointed that it will not take place. However, we do believe that canceling it, is the most responsible thing to do right now.

Last but not least, we would like to thank all of the amazing speakers and sponsors who had already agreed to support DEVit 2020. We hope we will have you joining us in Thessaloniki next year. Once this crisis is overcome, we will start working hard on delivering an amazing DEVit 2021. We promise you that!
