AWS is always introducing new services, in this year, AWS introduced a new way to simplify the containerization of a legacy application and also introduced a new way to optimize code and create new applications.

Amazon CodeGuru :

CodeGuru is a handy tool that allows developers to find the most expensive lines of code and improve quality.

This product is powered by machine learning that provides an intelligent recommendation engine, that automatically reviews code for bugs and suggests potential optimizations.

CodeGuru consists of two components :

CodeGuru Profiler: helps developers find an application’s most expensive lines of code along with specific visualizations and recommendations on how to improve code to save money

CodeGuru Reviewer: helps improve code quality by using machine learning to identify critical issues and hard-to-find bugs during development

App2Container :

Using containers to modernize existing apps maybe a bit overwhelming, with a lot of manual tasks that are time-consuming and that slows down the innovation process.

AWS makes containerization easier, App2Container is a command-line tool that helps containerize .NET and Java applications running on-premise, on ec2, or on another cloud provider with no changes required.

App2Container creates application inventory and analyzes runtime dependencies, then it creates a docker image and finally creates the ECS tasks and Kubernetes pods definition and creates the CI/CD pipeline.

HoneyCode

HoneyCode is a fully managed, low-code/no-code development tool. Build powerful mobile and web apps with no programming required has never been this easy.

By using a simple app builder, you can create highly interactive web and mobile apps, backed by a powerful AWS-built database to perform tasks like tracking data over time and notifying users of changes.

HoneyCode allows you to build applications in few minutes, and for 20 users for free. After that, you will be charged by user and for the consumed storage capacity
