Announcing Dev Protocol & Chainwhiz Partnership

Using Chainwhiz, Protocols, and DAOs can outsource tasks of all categories in the form of bounties. This helps protocols build faster, and reduce backlogs in their development cycles with the help of contributions from the community.

Dev Protocol has already used Chainwhiz to host bounties for getting their development issues solved with the help of external developers.

Alpha drop: The stakes.social components like the Buy DEV button modal and the Network selector right at the very top of the window are all result of bounties. And yes, all rewards were paid in the form of your favorite DEV tokens.

With this partnership, collaboration with external developers will increase and creators from stakes.social will benefit from using Chainwhiz to host their bounty and reward the external developers using DEV tokens.

What is Chainwhiz?

Chainwhiz is an open-source bounty marketplace on Polygon connecting Web3 protocols and DAOs with builders, contributors, and communities. Using our platform, protocols can outsource tasks of all categories (design, development, memes, writing, etc.) as bounties and contributors can contribute to the bounties and get paid in crypto.

Protocols can even incentivize their communities to vote on submitted solutions to a bounty and help the protocol discover the best solutions. All this is made possible with a completely new concept called solution-voting.

This opens up the stage to every participants in the community to contribute directly (solving the bounty), or indirectly (voting on solutions) to the bounties posted by their favorite protocols. The opportunities to build a more participating and powerful community is now immense.

What’s new in Chainwhiz?

Recently, Chainwhiz got its biggest update. With the new and exciting launch, it is now possible for Protocols/DAOs to host bounties of any category. Previously, only GitHub issue links were accepted as valid bounty links, which limited the scope of bounties to only development. Protocols were not being able to leverage the power of the community for other aspects like Design, Writing, Video, marketing, etc.

Thanks to the latest updates, Protocols can post bounties of any category. Be it design, development, project management, video creation, or any other things, the possibilities for community contribution are endless.

In line with the above changes, we have introduced a wallet login to our platform. No more GitHub accounts are required to contribute on Chainwhiz. All you need is a Metamask wallet and you’re good to go. This change is also to make Chainwhiz a more inclusive platform for different sets of users.

Here’s a quick glide through the other changes on Chainwhiz

  • Work plans have been removed. It is not mandatory to submit a work plan anymore for contributing to bounties. You can directly submit a solution to any of the bounties
  • Any link can be submitted as a solution to a bounty. As Chainwhiz becomes more inclusive, it is important that we allow equal representations for the tools and platforms used by various segments of users(designers, developers, video creators, etc.).
  • A dedicated field called the ‘Evaluation Criteria’ has been added to the bounty page. This will help the contributors understand the bounty and the bounty posters’ needs better and build the solution accordingly.

You can check out all these latest updates on Chainwhiz at app.chainwhiz.app.

What creators can do with Chainwhiz?

The DEV token is revolutionary in its own sense. Now, it comes with one more utility. Creators and Protocols can now use DEV tokens to reward the contributors to their bounties. Yes, no more paying extra high swapping fees to buy another token and post bounties. Chainwhiz supports the DEV token through and through. Being on Polygon, the gas fees are incredibly low as well for posting bounties, making it a super powerful tool for projects and creators to exercise and scale their projects.
