We are delighted to be able to announce that we started our community partners initiative to aid in the creation of Web3.0 implementations. Through our Community Partners initiative we will foster support for creators to spread the sound understanding of a new decentralized world using Web3.

In September this year, our most dedicated supporters took part in the “Web3 Community” initiative. More than 300 passionate OSS developers from around the world and interested in Web3 technology, joined to share their knowledge and gain experience in Web3 development. At Dev Protocol, we aim to help aid in the promotion of collaborative projects between community members in order to further accelerate the growth of Web3 and OSS development. We see this initiative as a small step towards a greater goal of facilitating an expansive community.

Community Partners

Our objective for community partners is to popularize a sound understanding of Web3 and facilitate mutual support among OSS developers for the growth of their communities.

Various partners like Community for developers, algorithm libraries on GitHub, and Code for Japan expressed, that they would join as partners to help further our initiative. We hope through our partnerships with these large players, we can further help people move towards and become acquainted with Web3.

Approach

Sharing knowledge about changes to and influence on OSS that Web3 and blockchain technology have.
Support for Web3 beginners, monetizing by property tokens*, and community governance.
Collaboration of Web3 developer communities.

*Property tokens are social tokens (ERC-20) that can be issued by using Dev Protocol. They automatically authenticate ownerships, monetize projects, and allocate rewards on the blockchain.

Experify : A 3D printing and 3D scanning service.
intlify : A project that aims to improve developer experiences in software internationalization.
Code for Japan : A community that promotes a citizen-driven approach to social issues and activities for civic tech.

We are now planning to create and produce as many collaborations as possible, having partnerships with communities that show interest in Web3 and focus on OSS. If you are willing to join and support projects, please contact us either by email or Discord.

Web3

Web3, a decentralized and user sovereign internet implementation, is the third paradigm shift in a long line of internet development. We believe that Web3 will be paramount in the movement towards a cryptocurrency based future built on the web. Based on decentralized computing and crypto signature, it has both immutable database and identity in the global space of internet.
